You don’t need to arrive knowing how to pose, what to wear or what will photograph beautifully. I’ll guide you through each detail so you can simply enjoy being present in this season.
Before your session, we’ll plan the setting and wardrobe together. You’ll have access to my carefully selected maternity wardrobe, including feminine gowns and soft, timeless pieces, along with personalized styling guidance for your partner and children if they’ll be joining you.
During your portrait session, I’ll gently guide you into flattering, natural poses while leaving room for genuine connection. Sessions are relaxed and unhurried, with plenty of time to adjust, rest and make sure you feel comfortable.
The result is a collection of maternity portraits that feels refined and timeless, while still feeling unmistakably like you.

Almost every mother arrives with something she’s a little unsure about. Pregnancy changes your body quickly, and being photographed during that season can feel vulnerable.
You don’t need to know what to do in front of the camera. I’ll guide your hands, posture and movement throughout your session, paying attention to the little details that help you feel comfortable and beautifully yourself.
Years from now, I don’t think you’ll see the things you were worried about. You’ll see the woman who carried your baby.

WHEN SHOULD I BOOK MY MATERNITY PORTRAIT SESSION?
I recommend reaching out during your second trimester, particularly if you’d like a specific date or season. Most maternity sessions take place between 28 and 34 weeks, when your belly is beautifully defined while you’re still likely to feel comfortable moving and posing. If you’re farther along, please don’t hesitate to inquire. I’m happy to photograph this season whenever timing allow
WHAT SHOULD I PLAN TO INVEST IN MY MATERNITY PORTRAITS?
After your newborn session, we will meet again either in my Williamsburg studio or in the comfort of your home for the most exciting part: seeing your portraits for the very first time.
During this time, I will guide you through choosing the artwork that best fits your family such as framed pieces for your walls, heirloom albums, or thoughtful gifts for grandparents. Most families invest between $1,500 and $3,200 in a collection that includes both custom artwork and digital files.
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR FOR MY MATERNITY PHOTOS?
I’ll help you plan what to wear so you don’t have to figure it out on your own. You’ll also have access to my carefully selected maternity wardrobe, with feminine, timeless pieces that photograph beautifully.
If your partner or children will be included, I’ll help coordinate their wardrobe as well so everything feels cohesive without looking overly matched.
Where do maternity sessions take place?
Maternity sessions may take place in my light-filled Williamsburg studio, in your home, or at a thoughtfully selected outdoor location in Virginia Beach or throughout Hampton Roads. We’ll choose your setting together based on the look you love, the season and how you’d most like to remember this time.
Can my husband or children be included in the session?
Absolutely. While we’ll create portraits focused on you and your pregnancy, partners and children are always welcome. Including them gives us the opportunity to preserve the anticipation and connection surrounding the newest member of your family.
What if I’m not comfortable in front of the camera?
You are far from alone. Most of my clients don’t feel completely comfortable in front of a camera, especially during a season when their bodies are changing so quickly. I’ll gently guide you through posing and movement throughout your session so you never have to wonder what to do. My goal is for you to feel cared for, comfortable and beautifully yourself.
