With the WHP experience, you don’t have to worry about showing up “picture perfect.”
With the DSP experience, you don’t have to worry about showing up “picture perfect.” I’ll guide you through every detail so you can feel cared for and confident, without the stress of figuring it out on your own.
You’ll have access to a small but thoughtfully chosen client wardrobe, including feminine gowns and tulle pieces, along with the option of professional hair and makeup to help you feel your best. My goal is always the same: to create portraits you’ll pass down for generations, while giving you back more of your precious time as you prepare to welcome your little one.
Sessions are designed to feel calm and unhurried. We take breaks whenever you need them, and I work in a soft, neutral color palette to keep the attention right where it belongs—on the beauty of your growing motherhood story. While many mamas choose to schedule maternity portraits between 28 and 34 weeks, I am happy to create timeless images for you at any stage of your pregnancy.

WHEN SHOULD I BOOK MY MATERNITY PORTRAIT SESSION?
We are often the first person moms contact when they find out they are pregnant and typically book 6-8 months out from your due date. If we are fully booked for your due date, we will let you know when we receive your inquiry.
WHAT SHOULD I PLAN TO INVEST IN MY MATERNITY PORTRAITS?
After your newborn session, we will meet again either in my Williamsburg studio or in the comfort of your home for the most exciting part: seeing your portraits for the very first time.
During this time, I will guide you through choosing the artwork that best fits your family such as framed pieces for your walls, heirloom albums, or thoughtful gifts for grandparents. Most families invest between $1,500 and $3,200 in a collection that includes both custom artwork and digital files.
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR FOR MY MATERNITY PHOTOS?
I will guide you through choosing what to wear, and you are welcome to borrow from my carefully selected studio wardrobe. I also provide a shopping guide if you would like extra help pulling pieces together for the whole family.

Where do maternity sessions take place?
I offer maternity photography in Williamsburg, Virginia in three settings: my natural light studio, in the comfort of your home, or at an outdoor location such as gardens, fields, or Colonial Williamsburg. While I love photographing in all settings, most mamas choose the studio for its timeless, light-filled aesthetic.
Can my partner or children be included in the session?
Absolutely. Maternity portraits are about your whole story, and partners and siblings are welcome to join. I’ll guide you into natural, relaxed poses that capture connection and joy as you await your newest family member.
What if I’m not comfortable in front of the camera?
I completely understand—pregnancy is a season of change, and it is natural to feel unsure about being photographed. As a mama myself, I know the insecurities that can accompany this time, but I also know the deep joy of looking back and seeing the beauty of those fleeting months. I have never once heard a mother regret documenting this part of her story.
My goal is to help you feel radiant and confident. With my gentle guidance, experience in posing women, and perspective as a mother, I will highlight the grace and strength of this season. You will be cared for throughout your session, with access to wardrobe, professional hair and makeup if you’d like, and an experience designed to remind you of just how beautiful you truly are.
