The Classic Heirloom Portrait is a timeless vignette individual portrait of your child that your family will treasure forever.

As a child who grew up without photos and a full-service portrait artist, I truly believe the magic is in the time-tested tradition of printed portraits. I will work along side you to create custom framed pieces you’ll be in awe of until they are passed on to your child’s children.

We will talk about options and the clothing pieces that work best for these portraits and for your child.
PORTRAIT SESSION
This is an experience that will become a core memory for your child. With my experience as a photographer for more than 10 years, I know just how to keep your child engaged and works quickly to ensure the children leave just as happy as they were coming in to see me.
ORDERING APPOINTMENT
I meet with each client for these in-studio appointments that include a projected slideshow of all the precious portraits from the session. Together, you will narrow down your favoite options for framed artwork. You will be able to see the portraits on the wall in different sizes and frame options. We can also use virtual design software, to see these options on your own wall from a simple photo taken with your phone. Clients love this part of the process.
DELIVERY
Clients are invited back to the studio with their children for the big reveal. The children love seeing their portraits for the first time, and it is truly such a sweet moment. For out of town clients, we will arrange for shipping.

STYLING YOUR PORTRAIT

These traditional heirloom portraits are photographed on white backdrops, so you’ll want to choose a color that will blends well. Shades of white (preferred), cream, light blue and soft pink work best with this style pf portraiture. European styles, french hand sewn heirloom clothing, hand smocked bishop dresses or rompers, and christening gowns.

LIFESTYLE PORTRAITS

Add a lifestyle session to capture your little one’s full heirloom outfit. After your heirloom portrait sitting, we’ll capture a few natural light images of your little one with simple, traditional style elements for a different style of portrait.

Add-on fee includes:

– 5-10 minutes of shooting in natural light
– No outfit changes
– Prints and digital files purchased separately at final gallery reveal

COMPOSITES

This includes the creation of the composite from your 3 final images. Composites include a complimentary 11×14 print. Additional prints may be purchased from your final gallery as well.

Terms & Conditions

CANCELLATIONS:
If a client wishes to cancel 14 days prior to their session, 50% of the fee will be refunded. Within 14 days of the session, the fee is non-refundable but is transferable. We ask our clients to contact us immediately and our team will be more than happy to work with you to reschedule your session.

SOCIAL SHARING:
Clients are more than welcome to take content during the session! We would love for you to tag us @dreamaspencephoto. We ask that unedited images from your proofing gallery are not shared on social media. Once you have received your edited images, we encourage sharing but please remember to tag us @dreamaspencephoto! Alterations to any images such as adding filters, is prohibited. If there is something you would like altered on your image, please let us know and we will do it for you!

CLIENT’S COOPORATION:
I aim to provide the best experience possible for you and your child! I’ve photographed many children over the years and have been successful in making everyone feel at ease and are capable of capturing every personality type! However, if i’m unable to complete the session due to lack of cooperation, I will do my best to reschedule another sitting within the year. This is extremely rare and considerations will be given based on the circumstance.

ADD-ON SIBLING PORTRAIT SESSIONS:
Sibling shots are unfortunately never a guarantee. I love snapping a few sibling portraits if your kiddos are willing and able to cooperate. If you decide to book our Add-On: Better Together to your session(s) and at the day of your session your crew is not cooperating, we will simply issue a refund.
*Please note: ALL subjects in the sibling shot must be scheduled for individual sessions as well.
