Traditional Heirloom Vignette Portraits
Heirloom photography is deeply rooted in southern tradition. These simple portraits are able to capture all the sweet little features of your child. There’s no backgrounds to distract from the sweet little expression on his or her face. Heirloom portraits are a way to celebrate and capture the beautiful individuality of each child.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Heirloom portraits are a traditional vignette portrait that is “faded” around the collar bone. Children often wear white or cream colored generational heirloom clothing that has been passed down or a special outfit of their own to be photographed in.
While Simplicity portraits still have that beautiful classic headshot style portrait, they are a little more casual. Children often wear white shirts with simple details like eyelet, a plain white t-shirt or collared shirt. Please no polo shirts.
Heirloom portrait sessions are ideal for babies who can sit well independently, through elementary age.If you have an older child and would like him or her to be photographed, reach out.
The session fee includes a 10-15 minute portrait sitting for one child, the selection of 5 proofs for final editing, and the editing of 5 final portrait proofs in both color and black and white.
All prints, digital files and framing are purchased separately after your final proofs are complete.
Please trust me! I’ve never given up on a session. I’ll do everything I can to get the shot. While some children are happy give a full range of expressions, some aren’t and that’s okay! I’ve found the best way to prepare is by not making a big deal about picture day and let me do the rest. There is time built into your session specifically for your child to warm up!
You may bring snacks or bribes, however I ask that they not be given to your child until after the session is complete.
There are 10-15 minutes alloted per session depending on the session type. For most children this is more than enough time to take beautiful portraits before they are bored!
